These farmers share our passion for looking after the earth while also focussing on producing the best quality nuts that nature has to offer. Each nut is carefully selected, shelled and dried at low temperatures to preserve the natural goodness of taste and nutrition. Almonds provide some amazing health benefits, being loaded with antioxidant vitamin E, calcium, protein and dietary fibre. They make a delicious natural snack as is, or a wonderful ingredient in raw food cooking, both sweet and savoury.
Organic raw transitional almonds are a delicious and satiating snack on their own or combined with your favourite selection of nuts, seeds and dried fruits for the ultimate trail mix. Similarly, you can use these delicious morsels in homemade granolas, mueslis, bars, salads, stir-fries, nut butters and more. Almonds can also make a great addition to homemade raw energy balls, breads, muffins, biscuits and other tasty baking treats. Currently raw, you may wish to activate raw almonds by soaking them in filtered water for 12-24 hours followed by slowing dehydrating them for a further few hours, helping to release the all-important enzymes. If you would like to make fresh almond mylk with raw almonds, add a handful of soaked nuts to approximately 1L of water, a touch of salt and a dash of your favourite natural sweetener, blend it all up and strain through an almond mylk bag or clean cloth. They are a wonderfully versatile pantry staple.
